Field Post Section of Union of Czech Philatelists


 

The Field Post Section was established in February 2001 by group of collectors of field post philatelic material . Our organization belongs to Bohemian and Moravian Postal History Society, which is an integral part of Union of Czech Philatelists.

In May 2001 the first general meetings of our members was organized . The next one will be held on November 30, 2002 at 10 o ´clock in SCF office (Union of Czech Philatelists) located in 1 Pribenická Street , Praha 3.

The members of the section are collectors from the Czech Republic as well as from abroad. The section is open for all collectors of field post without regard to nationality or membership in Union of Czech Philatelists . Of course, we want to co-operate with similar philatelic organizations abroad.

 

The general meeting founded following study groups :

  1. Field post during WWI and WWII
  2. Field post of mil. units serving in UNO, OSCE, EU and WEU missions anywhere in the world
  3. Czechoslovak/Czech participation in the missions since 1954
  4. Field post on territory of former Yugoslavia

  5. Field post of states being incorporated into NATO and Partnership For Peace Program

  6. Postal stationary

 

We publish our BULLETIN in Czech and English versions , which is distributed as enclosure to the postal historian journal Postilión .
